Weekly Grade 3 Homework
2019 - 2020:
Weekly Homework assignments will be posted every Friday and handed in the following Thursday, the same day Spelling Tests are done. Spelling Test books are due the following day on Friday or the Monday after the weekend with corrections done (any misspelled words are written out 5 times in the Spelling Test book). Parents - please sign the current Spelling Test each time the test book is returned home, thank you! Students are required to read daily for 20 minutes.
*TLC obligations: Parents are asked to go over and correct their child's homework weekly. The teacher will frequently go over the homework journals to see that students and parents are following these TLC obligations. Thank you for your time and effort!*

SPELLING WORDS/TESTS: Each student is required to do their 10 - 12 coloured words. They will be tested on Thursdays on their Coloured Words only. If you have any further questions, please send me an email and I will get back to you asap =;)

Month: February 2020
Assignment: As a family, read the story about Jovan and his singing. Please discuss that we all face times when we are worried about something but we can always try our best and persevere through it. Afterwards, please take ONE white, ONE green, and ONE brown piece of paper for your tree. Make a branch with leaves that describe characteristics about yourself (i.e. I am kind when I...). Have fun and we look forward to hearing about each student in our classroom. Enjoy =;)

To help strengthen your writing skills, remember to use and answer your 5 Ws, use the 5 senses, and use descriptive language (i.e. adjectives and adverbs).
